How to stop past events from disappearing?
1
I use an Iphone and an HP laptop and desktop. I understand that the Calendar app only syncs events for 1 year. However, mine now only shows the past 6 months. I've read that if you go through desktop that it will still show all events. Incorrect. Going through my browser shows the same 6 months. I used this to track medical appointments and all of my grad school classes and assignments, so it's extremely frustrating that I can't look back any longer.
Is there any way to recover these events or have it stop deleting going forward? I will have to stop using this platform if not.

Hi Jen, it sounds as though a 3rd party app is messing with your calendar.... old events should not disappear, although as you say they won't sync with the stock android app or Google Calendar app on mobile devices. Your only chance of recovering them if they have indeed been deleted is in the Trash, under the gear icon. To stop this from happening you should check all apps with permissions to edit your calendars at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Poorly written calendar sync software can result in loss of data, and the more complex your sync setup, the more likely it is to happen.
